The MBA Business Negotiation course will help you enhance your mastery of negotiation practice and theory.

The course is founded on the notion that negotiation is an extremely powerful practical skill. On completion of the course, you will be equipped with a comprehensive range of applicable tools and methods to use in negotiating in all aspects of your business and everyday life.

Course Synopsis

This course will help you master numerous applicable skills, toolkits and techniques that will serve as the cornerstone of your negotiation success. We approach negotiations through the lens of three types of agreements: distributive, integrative and rational bargaining.

The essential negotiation knowledge lies at the heart of this course, though negotiation is not a one-dimensional phenomenon. There are many variables impacting it, covering cultural differences, behaviours, tricks and irrational biases.

The aim of this course is to highlight the role of all such factors in our perception of negotiation and to empower you with a set of effective tools to navigate a diverse range of challenging situations.

On completion of the course, you will:

  • Be able to apply stronger strategies during multi-issue negotiations.
  • Learn how to deal with non-rational negotiations.
  • Gain the skills to recognise the differences in negotiation styles.
  • Learn to address cultural diversity that affects communication in the world marketplace.
  • Be able to grasp gender bias in negotiations and its implications for you.
  • Be prepared to confront tricky behaviours by using response strategies and withstand manipulation and multiple negotiation tactics.
  • Identify your own negotiator’s strengths and weaknesses and create your own negotiation strategy to achieve an agreement with other parties.
  • Understand the use of all sorts of tools to successfully bring negotiations to a satisfying resolution.
