Financial Decision Making

The MBA Financial Decision Making course is designed to equip students with a suite of financial and accounting tools that empower them to interpret and challenge financial information from a diverse pool of sources and make well-informed and actionable financial decisions that have a positive impact on a company’s performance.

The course merges accounting and finance courses into a cohesive programme, firstly by eliminating more specialised theoretical topics that are irrelevant to today’s managers and secondly by covering critical new hands-on tools, ensuring that the course is accessible and real-life orientated.

The course emphasises both practical understanding and application of all facets of accounting and financial management.

Course Synopsis

The course opens with a comprehensive look at the modern financial landscape. The course continues with the use of financial and management accounting tools related to important financial decision-making, including KPIs, break-even analysis, work capital management techniques and the process of budgeting.

The course examines financial management and the decision-making that organisations encounter when it comes to investment (what kind of projects), finance (what type of finance) and dividends (whether to pay or withhold), and what actions an organisation should take in regard to them.
