The MBA Economics for Business course addresses the applied use of economic concepts in business scenarios.

The course explores multiple aspects of economic theory providing managers with an overarching overview of relevant economic topics in a business domain. The course aims to enable students to acquire a systematic decision-making approach and the skills to identify, exploit and interpret economic data from both within the organisation and the external environment.
Throughout your studies, you will use a large case study to showcase the actual application of the concepts and toolkit you have learnt.
The course offers an in-depth understanding of underlying economic principles and their implications for real-world business environments.
The course opens with an overview of the main economic issues in the realm of business: capital and labour market structures, their effect on organisations, and the government’s role in the broader economy.
The next part of the course covers macroeconomic issues from the perspective of their effects on business and decision-making, as well as economic questions of international significance.
At the end of the major part of the course, you will be encouraged to explore the application of the course material in a real-life business setting.
